A Beautiful Day in the Garden
May 2. Spent several hours in the garden on a beautiful may day with temps topping out in the low 80s.
Bed 1: Mulched broccoli, planted yellow summer squash, and tilled a row.
Bed 3: Tilled and planted four rows of Frosty (an early variety; matures in 75 days) and a variety whose label has worn off, but I think it's Silver Queen. Laid down soaker hose.
Bed 4: Planted a little patch of sunflower seeds; yellow squash; prepped area for melons. Plan to grow muskmelons: Sweet 'n Early; Delicious 151. Watermelon: Sugar Baby.
